THREADSTACK DIRECTORY
A collection of Substack newsletters about knitting, crochet, embroidery, weaving, sewing and more ...
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Threadstack has moved so that it’s no longer a section of Create Me Free but instead stands on its own as a separate newsletter. It’s right here, including the directory. Be sure to subscribe since that’s where all new Threadstack posts will be!!
THE VERSION OF THE DIRECTORY THAT YOU SEE BELOW IS NO LONGER UP TO DATE. Go to the Threadstack publication above to find the current directory.
I am so excited about all of the creative people I have been hearing from and starting to get to know in the fiber arts/ crafts corner of Substack since introducing THREADSTACK.
This is both a community and a directory. The directory is for people who are writing about these topics, although they may also write about other things. This right here is the directory. I have organized it by the craft the person said they share about the most, but they may enjoy and write about other crafts on the list as well so browse the whole thing at your leisure.
The community is for anyone who is interested in these activities and all you have to do to be a part of it is subscribe to Create Me Free. TIP: The more you comment and converse in the comments, the more it’s going to feel like a true community. Visiting people in this directory and engaging directly with them also highly recommended!
I do a weekly link roundup and anyone, whether in the directory or not, is invited to submit one link weekly related to fiber/yarn art/craft. Submit a link using this Google Form. Or learn more here.

Learn more about what THREADSTACK is and how to join the directory here.
THREADSTACK is part of Create Me Free, but you can opt to receive only Threadstack emails if you choose. This post explains how. But you might also like my writing about craft as therapy.
This directory is free but this takes work and writers should be paid for their work. I try to make it possible for everyone to access my writing at a price that works for them by offering a SLIDING SCALE Pay What You Can Option that starts at just $10 per year. Annual subscriptions really do make a big difference in how much I can offer here.
Whether or not you’re in the directory, you are invited to submit weekly links related to the topics for our Monday roundups.

Maybe change "Sewers" to "Sewists" or "People who Sew?" LOL!
While my sewing is not the primary focus of my Stack, I have a section called "Studio Updates," and I THINK you can subscribe only to that section.
Thank you for including me in the directory!
Hi! I am starting a crafting newsletter that focuses on Crocheting and Embroidery. It will launch, officially, on November 1st. How could I go about being added to the Threadstack directory? Thanks in advance!
