ANNOUNCING: Share Your Weekly THREADSTACK Community News and Links
And a poll for what we should name this feature ...
The THREADSTACK Directory is starting to grow, and I am already loving getting to know a few of the people who share crochet, knitting, embroidery, weaving, yarn dyeing, craft stories and more.
And I’ve decided on the first regular thing that THREADSTACK will offer: a weekly roundup of your links related to the topic. You do not have to be included in the directory to share a link as long as the link is a Substack article that you’ve written that is relevant to the THREADSTACK topic.
Here’s how it works:
You’re invited to share one link per week to the group. I’ll publish all of the links as a roundup, typically on Mondays. This is to promote community so if you share a link, please make an effort to visit someone else’s link and interact with it in some way.
Submit a link using this Google Form.
PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF:
The link that you share must relate to crochet, knitting, embroidery, weaving, sewing, etc.
You may share something new or something from the archives.
The link that you share should be to a Substack piece that you yourself have written.
However, there’s a place in the form to add a shoutout to someone else if you saw a piece that you think the community must see.
Please share only one link per week. Weeks generally run Monday - Sunday, although if you share on Sunday, it may not make it into the roundup until the following week.
The posts will be published free to everyone but all of my archives, including these, go behind a paywall after a week.
I am one person so I’ll be doing my best but things come up, especially when you live with chronic recurring mental health challenges, so be patient and gentle and kind.
There is no fee to be a part of these roundups. However, it takes me time and effort, so if you can contribute with an annual subscription, please do. I offer a SLIDING SCALE PAY WHAT YOU CAN series of links so that you can choose the rate that works best for you.
I like it. Kathryn, you're certainly most welcome to use this piece on the origins of sewing I created a little while back: https://goatfury.substack.com/p/sewing (and if it's not a great fit, no sweat!).
