Weekly Strands from the THREADSTACK Community + 3 Inspiring Crafty Quotes
And, submit a question for the group conversation thread!
It’s time for the weekly roundup of links about yarn/thread/fiber/fabric from the THREADSTACK community. We only got a few this week so here’s your reminder to send one in for next week. All you have to do is enter the info into this Google Form to share any relevant piece - it can be old or new!
Huge gratitude to of for sharing this:
“essay about my personal journey through knitting and fiber arts, on what it means to me and how they connect me with others.”
In this, among other things, Emese-Reka shares:
“Knitting - and all other yarn and needle-crafts - connect me with my grandmother”
which directly relates to our first THREADSTACK conversation question:
Emese-Reka also beautifully reminds us …
“Knitting, and other fiber arts can act as a creative outlet, stress-reliever, and a way to connect with like-minded creators.”
Huge gratitude to for sharing her Knitting Club page
where she offers knitting patterns in Spanish and sometimes in English to her paid subscribers. I love the description on this one:
Huge gratitude to of for joining the THREADSTACK Directory this week.
There are now forty different creative people in this directory for you to connect with around crochet, knitting, weaving, sewing, dyeing, needle felting, punch needling, quilting, embroidery and more. Go say hi to someone new today. The directory is the warp but the connections you all make through it are the weft.
What do you want to ask the THREADSTACK community?
I’m planning to regularly offer the community thread posts here so we can all connect more. The first one (how does yarncraft connect you to others, linked above) went so well and offered me so much inspiration and sense of meaning. So, I’ll be having them weekly or every other week, we’ll see what works. I have plenty of questions of my own but this is a community and a group effort, so I want to know what it is that you want to know.
Leave your comment with a question for the community and I’ll draw from this comment section for the upcoming conversation threads!
