I watched The Waltons a lot with my dad when I was growing up <3 <3 I hadn't remembered that part of it ... I mostly remember the eldest boy as a writer and them sitting around the radio for entertainment.
One of my favorite episodes of Gilmore Girls features a town wide Knit-a-thon (season 7, episode 9). Ever since I’ve wanted to do one. A couple of years ago I moved to a small New England town that I liken to Stars Hollow all the time, and I’m even part of a weekly crafting group at the library. I feel like I could maybe make something like this happen here…
I'm Cate :) and I knit. One of my favorite shows featuring knitting is Northern Exposure, the 90's series set in fictional Cicely, Alaska. Dr. Joel Fleischman's assistant/receptionist, Marilyn, knits as she maintains an inscrutable attitude and replies to the poor doctor's increasingly frustrated questions with one-word answers. I love Marilyn and honestly, she knits so slowly that I suspect a non-knitter might be able to learn the basice by watching her.
Two of my all-time favorite comfort shows immediately come to mind: THE WALTONS and A LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE. 😁

Fascinating

Have you been part of something like this?
Oh that's a good one. I've never done anything like that but I absolutely think you should try to make it happen!
The crochet vest Molly Weasley wears in the second Harry Potter film. Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets. She so owns the way she wears it.
Ooh, I love that! I always think it is fun to see people wearing crochet on the screen since it's not super common.
The sleeves on that jumper 😍
Yes!!! I wouldn't wear this, but she looks so great and powerful in it. Love it.
