THREADSTACK: Monthly Links and Conversation from the Craft Community
Links roundup, a question for the yarn/thread/fiber/fabric lovers, and a new monthly schedule for THREADSTACK community
I really love when people on Substack who write about knitting, crochet, embroidery, weaving, quilting, sewing, etc. etc. share their links with me so that I can round them up and share them with everyone. I think it has the potential to build community.

I was trying to do these weekly. However, people aren’t really participating weekly. And weekly is kind of a lot. Bi-weekly isn’t even really working. So, what I am thinking is that I’ll combine the two posts into one single monthly post that happens on the first Friday of the month.
You have all month to submit a link to a piece of yours using this form. They’re due by the last day of the month for inclusion in the next month’s roundup.
And then I’ll ask a question and the whole community can use the space in the comments to discuss things related to that question. And we’ll see how that goes.

I’m Lia and I’m primarily an embroiderer though I also do a lot of other types of sewing too. The most frustrating thing about embroidery is figuring out the whole framing thing. It’s so expensive to take work in to be framed and I have an energy limiting disability that makes it hard too. However, I recently learned how to wet block my pieces and that went well enough that I’m going to experiment with stretching some on mat board soon.
Have others experimented with various framing methods?
