Thanks for tagging me in here! Youβve got me in some great company. I hope a lot of people saw that thread about tithing and act on it. Itβs a small ask, but can mean so much to the recipient.
I absolutely agree - and it's good for the giver, too, in my experience. I never feel guilt or shame or anything weird about spending that percent on supporting other creatives!
Ah love this. I love the switch from content creation because I feel I βshouldβ to writing and drawing what I love and sharing it just for the joy, the connection and the conversation. And thanks for the shout out, and congratulations on your 10!
You always share such GREAT pubs and peeps in these roundups! Yikes! I need more reading time. Thanks for including me here and for the convo about inspiration.
I wish I did! I do find, however, that when I give my time to the pleasure of reading and writing, it creates a spaciousness that makes me feel like I've used my time better. But it also creates unwashed dishes in the sink so there's a tradeoff :)
Love your round-ups, though I don't know how you have the time, it is a great overview, reminder and introduction to other writers and commentators. Thank you for my mention.
I carve out the time intentionally by adding some of it into the morning reading-writing routine I'd already created for myself, some into the space where I was watching too much reality TV, and some in the space where I should probably be doing other things :)
Love love love Joan Osborne πΆ!!!
I hadn't listened to her in a bit and learned that she's coming to play here in a few months so I decided to get her back onto my ears.
Congrats again on those first ten! Remember, the toughest 1% is behind you.
Thanks!! Onward and upward :) And so grateful for those first ten and all of the people who engage and comment and share.

Thank you for the mention! And congratulations on No 10. π
THANKS!
Thanks for the shout out! It means a lot.
Sheβs great.

Thanks! Love that switch for you and for all of us!
So grateful to be a part of the conversation re: artistic tithing. I love love these posts and reading through them. Thank you! π€

I wave my magic fairy godmother wand and grant you permission to read more :)
Permission accepted. Do you also have a fairy godmother wand that grants more time? So much to read AND so much to write!

I have experienced the spaciousness of which you speak! Clean dishes are overrated anyway.

Thanks for connecting with me here!
Loving the connection. And I do the βshould probably be doing other thingsβ a lot too!
