For eight years, I wrote a column called Crochet Heals for Happily Hooked Magazine. Each month, I had the opportunity to interview inspiring people all about how crochet has helped them heal and improve their lives. The interview that I did with Chason and Tumaini has always stuck with me. While, to my knowledge, they are no longer doing the workshops that we discussed in this interview, the words they’ve shared with me continue to feel important. Plus, since July is BIPOC mental health month, this seemed like a good time to re-share this.
