Thank you Kathryn & Claudia for this interesting interview. I especially love your discussion about the lesson you learned from your art teacher about releasing the binary perspective of good/bad and right/wrong, and that it took about two years to completely own that concept. Looking at life with a wider lens is a powerful, yet soft way of living and it sounds like you have embraced that life completely. Thank you for sharing!

Love that you pulled that out since it's such a powerful reminder - both that we can change old ways of thinking and that it may take time!

Thank you for this fascinating interview ... not only the artist, the conversation, but also the process. Your prolificness ... prolificity ... astound me. How many hours are there in your days? That aside, the questions abound ... was this interview by phone, email, zoom? ... are you bilingual? ... which came first ... the name (Wool)? ... the art (weaving)? ... how does she do her textile art in a van? What part of the world do you live in? There's more but I'm stopping as I'm already in awe.

Well yes, there are many questions! haha no problem. My native language is Spanish and my level of English is intermediate, which makes me use the translator much more than I would like, but I am currently taking individual English classes to improve it. My last names are a bit long and hard to pronounce in English, so I use “wool” because it really represents me, it's short and easy to pronounce. Certainly the fabric came first before the pseudonym. I am currently in Ireland, and next month we will go to Spain. I confess that it is not easy to maintain the rhythm and concentration living as a family in such a small space, but I have learned to adapt to what I have and enjoy the journey much more. Ah! and the interview by email, several emails with questions and answers that came and went.

Tu Substack me ayudaré. Gracias.

Nunca he estado allí y siempre he querido ir.

Aunque no estoy segura cómo.

I was about to start this with “non lo so” but that’s Italian 🤣🤣 I will stick to English to say that I also am not ready because my schedule is just nuts right now with starting back to grad school but if you circle back and plan something later this fall definitely check with me and see if I am able to join in. Either way hope you two make it happen!

Kathryn ... I read about your schedule and if you had said you wanted to do it now, I would have spit coffee across the room. Nuts is right! Enjoy your Olympic level juggling!
