What a lovely article. I love to crochet but struggle to find anything 'worthwhile' to crochet. I find clothes are too big a project and the resulting 'fabric' too thick, and I can't think of anything else that I or others would really use. I have enough shopping bags.
I tend to care more about process than product so I end up making a lot of squares and rectangles that may or may not become projects down the line. I used to make tons of blankets but it’s been a while. And yeah I have a million bags and scarves and have given some to everyone I know. Sometimes I make them for charity. And lately I’ve been making wall hangings.
