Wonderful confirmation that the work I’ve done has an impact. And huge gratitude to all the people who helped me in my research along the way.

Seeing benefits of crocheting in working with traumatised refugees. Not just the process, but also the soft toy products made, have therapeutic value.

Beautiful, love that. The products are definitely also part of the healing process - toys, blankets, shawls. <3 <3 <3

So cool! Both that you are being referenced, and that others are carrying on the research 😁

I love that academia - and medicine - has finally begun to recognise the value of crafting. Here in UK there's a public health nationwide initiative to get everyone to take a "weekly dose" of 2 hours of creativity. Local councils are rolling it out and it's having great effect. While 'creativity' is a huge category, crafting is a core, simple, cheap and popular way under that wider umbrella of creativity to build in that creative time in people's lives. Here's a UK nerdy scoping review to a WHO report. https://www.culturehealthandwellbeing.org.uk/news/blog/introduction-new-who-evidence-report-arts-and-health-daisy-fancourt
