I really appreciate your work, even though I don't have the opportunity to read most of it. I started crocheting just over 2 years ago and loved it. And I am now knitting my first sweater / jumper. Crafting has made me realise how important creating with my hands are. Both for my sense of creativity, but also for my overall sense of wellbeing.

I wish I could give more, but money is so tight right now. Hopefully work will pick up again soon. Being self employed is a wild ride...!

Money is tight for most of us for sure and I truly appreciate that you're able to give anything at all. <3

I am so glad that you found crochet and knitting. As you know, it changed my entire life and sense of wellbeing when I came to crochet.

I don't understand this Opened thing? Why wouldn't it be 100%? Why would someone subscribe to a Substack and not bother to open?

I don’t read every thing that someone writes even if I subscribe. It depends a lot on my own bandwidth that week. And some people I subscribe to so I can support them but I don’t want to read all of their material. https://createmefree.substack.com/p/mental-health-reasons-i-may-not-read

Thanks Kathryn. These are important issues. I hate to think people subscribe to me and then don't even bother to open the email. What did I do wrong? I was thinking the title was everything. Ya gotta grab 'em : )

The title does matter. But there are so many reasons people might not read a piece.
