Creative Health Mapping: Personalized Creative Assessments for Artists, Writers, and Makers
Uncover the Hidden Connections Between Your Health and Your Art Through a Written Analysis, Visual Map and Orientation Call, All Through the Lens of My Unique 6-part Framework
Are you a writer, artist, maker, or other creative who feels stuck, burned out, or disconnected from your creative flow? Do you wonder how your well-being truly impacts your creativity?
Your health is already shaping your art, whether you notice it or not. It influences your creative process, the content you produce, your chosen medium, your productivity, your artistic identity, and even your creative business.
Introducing: Creative Health Mapping
This unique service goes beyond surface-level advice. I will deeply explore your existing writing (from a Substack archive, blog or similar resource) and/or a detailed written interview in order to illuminate the profound connections between your health and your artistic expression.
What You Receive
Your Creative Health Map (written report)
A personalized written assessment (5-6 pages) showing:
“You are here” (current state across the Six Lands)
What’s flourishing (your strengths and what’s working)
What’s blocked or barren (gaps and challenges)
Tools you already have
Tools you might need
Paths forward
Your map weaves in your own words. I identify quotes from your archive or interview that illuminate patterns, then reflect them back with the Creative Health Cartography framework as lens.
Your Visual Map
A visual representation of your creative health landscape, showing how you’re situated across the Six Lands. Something you can return to and reference as you navigate your creative life.
Your Creative Health Orientation Call
A conversation where I walk you through what I found, you share what resonates, and we identify what feels most important to explore or act on. (See alternatives below if you prefer communication other than a voice/video call.)
How it Works: Your Journey
Step 1: Purchase
You purchase your Creative Health Map + Orientation via Stripe.
Step 2: Choose Your Path and Provide Materials
Once you have made your purchase, you will receive an email with a link to a Google form. You can either provide access to your archive or complete the interview questions (or both, if you’d like).
The two paths:
Archive Review Path
You provide access to your Substack, blog, or other written archive. I select at least ten pieces for deep review, looking for how your health shows up in your creative writing.
Best for: Writers/creatives with existing written archives who want an outside perspective on patterns they may not see themselves.
Interview Path
You complete a guided written interview exploring how health appears in your creative life. Approximately 20 questions related to creativity and wellness in your life.
Best for: Visual artists, makers, or anyone who prefers direct reflection over having their work analyzed.
Step 3: I Create Your Map
I do the deep analysis work: reading, identifying patterns, weaving your words into the framework. This typically takes 5-7 business days.
Your personalized Creative Health Map (written report + visual map) arrives in your inbox, along with a link to schedule your Orientation.
Step 4: Orienting to your Map
In our Zoom conversation (or alternative format), I walk you through what I found. You share what resonates. We identify what feels most important to explore or act on.
Step 7: You Navigate Forward
You leave with clarity about your creative health landscape and paths forward. If you want continued support, Creative Health Navigation sessions are available.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Curious and Honoring
I approach this work with profound respect for your expertise on your own life.
You’ll notice language like “this may reflect...” or “what I notice is...” rather than “your work shows...” or “you are...” I make suggestions, not declarations. I honor that you know things about yourself that no amount of archive review can reveal.
This isn’t diagnosis. It’s not therapy. It’s pattern recognition offered with care, creating a starting point for deeper exploration.
Important Note: This service is not therapy. While therapeutically informed due to my Master’s in Psychology and years of experience researching and writing about mental health (and living with my own), I am not a licensed therapist. This work guides creative growth and understanding. It does not replace professional counseling.
Orientation Format Options
The default Orientation is a 60-minute Zoom call. But I know that’s not the right format for everyone.
Honoring neurodiversity and diverse communication preferences, I offer alternative formats at no extra cost:
Voice message exchange: We go back and forth via audio messages on your timeline
Text/chat exchange: Written conversation via text or messaging app
Email exchange: Asynchronous written dialogue
Phone call: Audio only, no video
When you book, let me know what works best for you. The goal is a format where you can actually receive and process what’s in your map.
Creative Health Cartography
This is a methodology I’ve developed over decades of research. Learn more here.
AI in My Practice: I believe in transparency about how I work. As someone neurodivergent, living with chronic illness, I make use of AI tools to support myself financially while navigating energy limitations. To that end, your creative material may be processed through AI tools (Claude) to help identify patterns, but the understanding, insight, framework application, and care in your Creative Health Map come from me. All analysis is conducted with your material anonymized. If you have concerns, email me before your assessment begins to discuss options. Details here.

This looks tremendous!
Fascinating approach! I don’t think I’ve ever come across something like this before. 👍💎💎✨✨
