Buku Answers Art+Psychology Interview in Stunning Creative Images
"Photography became not just a way to survive a day but in many ways reconcile with a body I lost.”
I am so thrilled to bring you this next visual interview. I have been enjoying the work from Buku for a little while now. And I was very moved by their post Containment Diaries: the many faces of hiding illness subtitled “The Images Instagram won’t let me post.” When they shared it in Notes, along with some of the images, I immediately asked if the images were Buku’s original art. Such stunning work. And it makes me feel really special to be able to share more images through this interview.

Before we begin, Buku shared:
“I have suffered from chronic undiagnosed illness for over ten years. Photography became not just a way to survive a day but in many ways reconcile with a body I lost.”
